Petsmart’s policies are too one size fits all to make them a good place for everyone and every dog. If your dog falls outside the box with behavior problems, they are not the place for you. But, if it’s working for your dog and for you, then it works.

I wouldn’t ever recommend them to anyone though. Many of their trainers go through a few week dog training course and … don’t even and have never owned dogs.

I'm also doing the Petsmart classes with a spaniel. The class was small, informative and reassuring. My pup's a little ball of fire, but like all spaniels he's really intelligent and is picking up the training quickly. We're dealing with separation anxiety, and I may just get a companion dog. But we'll keep going to the classes for sure.

My Papillon is now 7 months old and he is in his 2nd class at Petsmart. I put him in the class not only so he would learn obedience/skills/tricks but so I as a person could be taught as well.

I have learned so much, different techniques anywhere from how to potty train to crate training etc…

My little guy absolutely loves going – he gets to socialize, and interact with others and he really has learned – this week we finally just accomplished on how to sit on command (it was our troubled area).

We brought our dog to Pet Smart. I have only good things to say. Our trainer was awesome, she gave us lots of tips. We have a lab, that as a puppy we couldn't have food near her because she would eat it. Now I can drop food on the floor and just say leave it and she won't touch it, and even leave the room. For me, that was worth the money we payed. Aside from that she learned a lot of the basics.
